Please bring any relevant medical reports, imaging results (X-rays, MRI scans), a list of current medications, your Medicare card, and comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated. If you have a referral from your GP, bring that too.
Yes, we treat patients under WorkCover and CTP (Compulsory Third Party) insurance claims. Please bring your claim number and any approval documentation to your first appointment. We handle the paperwork directly with the insurer.
We provide physiotherapy home visits across Western Sydney, primarily for NDIS participants and aged care patients. We bring all necessary equipment to your home and conduct a full assessment and treatment session. Contact us to discuss your needs and schedule a visit.
We cover the greater Western Sydney region for home visits, including suburbs around Mays Hill, Westmead, Parramatta, Blacktown, Penrith, and surrounding areas. Contact us to confirm coverage for your specific location.
No, you do not need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist in Australia. You can book directly with us. However, a referral may be required for certain insurance claims (WorkCover, CTP, DVA) or to access Medicare rebates under a Chronic Disease Management plan.
An initial consultation typically lasts 45-60 minutes, allowing time for a thorough assessment and first treatment. Follow-up sessions are usually 30-45 minutes. Session length may vary depending on the complexity of your condition.
Dry needling involves inserting fine, sterile needles into muscle trigger points to release tension and reduce pain. It is a safe, evidence-based technique performed by qualified physiotherapists. It differs from acupuncture in that it targets specific musculoskeletal issues rather than traditional meridian points.
If you are an NDIS support coordinator, aged care provider, or GP, you can refer a patient by visiting our Refer a Patient page, calling us on 0433 126 177, or emailing info@activerisehealth.com.au. We will arrange an initial assessment promptly.
We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, and health fund claims processed on the spot via HICAPS. We also bulk bill under certain NDIS and aged care plans. Please check with us about your specific cover.
Our clinic hours are set by the medical centres we operate from. Currently, we offer appointments Monday and Wednesday at Mays Hill, and Thursday and Saturday at Westmead. Home visits can be arranged at flexible times - contact us to discuss availability.
